A BETTER SELECTION HELPS

When AI person removal works best

Give the background some room. Select the whole person and their shadow, while leaving nearby background visible.

Look closely at the details. Overlapping people, text, reflections and repeating patterns can produce visible artifacts.

Keep an original copy. Generated backgrounds are interpretations of the scene. Check the result before sharing.

Selection guidance is based on the Clipdrop Cleanup API documentation. Results depend on your photo and selection.

How do I remove someone from a photo online?

Upload a JPEG, PNG or WebP photo, brush over the person you want to remove, then start AI cleanup when the trial is available. Compare the result and download the edited PNG.

Can I remove one person from a group photo?

Use the brush to mark only that person. Use the eraser to correct your selection before processing. Overlapping people can be harder to separate; inspect the result carefully.

Does AI recover the original hidden background?

AI generates replacement pixels from the surrounding image. It cannot recover the actual scene that was hidden behind a person, and the generated background may be inaccurate.

Can I use EraseSnap on my phone?

The editor supports touch selection and file uploads in modern mobile browsers. Use a smaller brush near people or details you want to keep.

What formats and sizes are supported?

JPEG, PNG and WebP, up to 10 MB, 4096 pixels on each side and 4 megapixels total. Photos are converted to PNG in your browser before upload. Prepared images must also fit within 10 MB. Output is PNG.

Is my photo uploaded immediately?

Selecting a photo and brushing happen in your browser. Your prepared photo and mask are uploaded only when you start AI cleanup. Results use browser-specific access controls and expire after 24 hours. See our privacy page for storage and processor details.

What if the result looks unnatural?

Check overlapping people, edges, shadows and reflections. AI may struggle with text, faces or repeating patterns. No result is guaranteed. Failed or uncertain requests are not automatically sent to the provider again.

How much does it cost?

This implementation offers a limited trial when the AI service is enabled: one processing attempt per browser per UTC day, subject to network and daily service limits. Photo cleanup purchases are not open yet. Single purchases and credit packs are planned; no subscription is required for this trial.
